Circa 1990s Navajo rug depicting Yeibichei figures. Measures about 40" x 25.5" with a warp count of 9 per inch and a weft count of 36 per inch. Hand woven on typical Navajo vertical loom with hand spun wool and dyed with aniline dyes. The previous owner worked as a public health nurse in the reservation and was able to buy directly from the weavers. Signs of wear are minimal, no stains, no restoration. The weave is tight, the edges are intact and the colors are fantastic! Photos show both sides. Certificate of appraisal included ($700.00).
