Antique pair of brass and cloisonne censer ducks. There is a lid on the back to place the incense in and once it starts to burn, the lid is closed and the smoke comes out of the duck's bill. Multicolored vitreous enamel on turquoise blue. Ducks symbolize happiness and loyalty or fidelity because they mate for life. This pair is also decorated with the lotus flower in all stages: bud, full flower and seed pod which symbolizes fertility. Around 1860-1880s. In very good used condition!
