Hand-carved by award-winning Hopi artist Raymond Chee. This modern action katsina won Best of Show about 4 years ago at the Santa Fe Indian Market Show, according to Raymond. This sculpture depicts a Great Horned Owl catching a mouse. This measures about 16" tall with a 4.75" x 6.5" base. Signed on the base but not very clear as the base is dark. This item was bought directly from Mr. Chee. In excellent used condition, minimal signs of shelf wear.
